Steve Ryan the owner of Timber-Flooring-Australia.
Originally from England, yep a "pom" Has over 23
years flooring experience. Working for various
companies throughout the Uk. He then set up
fabfloor.co.uk back in 1996 being one of the first
individuals/companies importing and indeed
installing "laminate flooring" within the Uk. Having
successfully owned and operated fabFloor for a
number of years, and taking the company from
strength to strength, offering huge ranges of
flooring, nationwide installations. He and his
family migrated to Australia.
Our History
As trained installers, we decided back in 96 to
gear our company only to quality products, and offer
full supply and supply and install services. The
company steadily grew and we began offering products
only available generally to interior designers and
architects to our customers.
Our first product
ranges were Bruce, Witex, Fibo Trespo, Tarkett,
Karndean etc . As the business grew, we offered more
ranges and manufacturers to our increasing
portfolio. Each company that we trade with, we build
a strong business relationship. This is vital in
offering before and after care advice. As such we
have always maintained that cheap doesn't always
mean you pay the least:~
For Example: A floor is the most used piece of
interior decoration within your home. It really
takes a good pounding, kids pets, dirt, climatic,
etc etc and yet a good quality floor for that little
bit more will far outperform and cost less in the
long term than its cheaper/inferior counterpart.
As such the company moved onwards and upwards,
our customers knew they could rely on quality and
value from us, and coupled with well specified and
pedigree products married with our superb
installation services, brought peace of mind.
The advent of Click systems, or glueless floors
in the later 1990's led our product focus to
companies such as Alloc ,
Unilin etc... the latter soon taking over with
the Quick-Step brand and the now famous Uniclic
joint system. A product we still specify sell and
install on both sides of the Globe.
With over 40,000 customers, and selling flooring
at the rate of 1 square metre every 2 minutes , we
are placed to advise, assist and encompass all of
your flooring needs.

Its easier to sort a problem FAST than to let
that problem domino into chaos. Our experience has
taught us, the "customer is always right !" even
though we may not agree with it at times, its our
aim to ensure your whole experience of dealing with
us, is pleasant and the result is as anticipated.
As trained installers, we hope to identify and
point out problems before they are encountered. Our
policy is " No Shocks or hidden Costs" . Once we
have surveyed your flooring, and shown you what we
would recommend for your circumstances, we give you
a Fixed Price, and 99% of the time that price is met
and honoured. Deviations from this being small works
or items that need rectifying, for which our
surveyor/installer will point out to you. ~ 40,000
installations and nearly 250,000 supplied customers
cant all be wrong ?
